Alan Harmeza, MA, AMFT #
I approach therapy with the understanding that life includes suffering, but that suffering can be the starting point for transformation. I help clients face their pain directly, uncover meaning in the midst of hardship, and begin to build a life worth living—one rooted in values, relationships, and personal growth. My work centers on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can move from survival to purpose.
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (MFT & PCC) from Azusa Pacific University. My clinical approach draws on evidence-based modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Relapse Prevention. I am also trained in Level 1 of the Gottman Method for couples therapy.
I believe that effective therapy is never one-size-fits-all. I tailor treatment to each client’s unique goals, cultural background, values, and lived experience. Whether you are seeking support for trauma, addiction, emotional regulation, or relationship struggles, I work collaboratively with you to create a plan that aligns with your needs and supports your growth at a pace that feels safe and meaningful.
Areas of Focus:
Individuals (Adolescents & Adults)
Couples & Families
Trauma Recovery — including developmental, relational, and complex trauma

At the heart of my work is the belief that while life inevitably involves suffering, you are not beyond healing. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you confront your pain, rediscover your values, and begin building a life that feels not only bearable—but meaningful and worth living. Together, we can create a space where your resilience can grow, and your story can begin to transform.
